Our food philosophy

We source the freshest, in season, local produce to bring our guests the best that Tasmania has to offer. With a modern Australian menu, featuring a hint of Asian flavours, our Executive Chef Michael Mackaway designs his menus to  provide something of interest for every palate. 

We are incredibly lucky and proud to be located 40 degrees South of the equator in one of Australia's best regions for growing grapes, barley and hops. This gives us access to amazing cool climate wines, world renowned whisky and cracking craft beer.

Bluestone Bar & Kitchen features a relaxed, contemporary design incorporating a variety of zones to suit the needs of our guests including single diners. Our service aims to deliver efficiency and knowledge in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Construction Timelapse

Bluestone Bar & Kitchen was the result of a major rebuild and renovation process which took place in late 2017. The previous restaurant was called Market Square and construction to extend and completely renovate the old restaurant took just 3.5 months to complete.
